Online Support for Working Parents When Work Stress Hits Home

Some people need more support at this time of year than others so I’ve included a range of options that you can choose from.

This is a support experience for working parents entering the most demanding stretch of their work year already tired, already stretched thin, and already feeling work stress spill into their evenings, relationships, patience, sleep, and home life.

December brings a unique pressure: end-of-year expectations at work rise at the exact same time home demands multiply – school events, logistics, finances, emotional labour, and the unspoken pressure to “make Christmas magical.”

This small group of 10 parents will meet on Monday evenings at 8pm for four weeks, starting Monday 1st December and finishing Monday 22nd.
We’ll meet again in the New Year to reflect, reset direction, and prevent sliding back into old patterns.

 

Many parents describe this time of year as:

  • Emotionally overloaded and running on fumes: overwhelmed, drained, tense, too fast-paced to be present

  • Work stress spilling into home:  giving work the best, family the leftovers; snappy, guilty, mentally elsewhere

  • Overstimulated and unable to switch off : struggling to unwind, touched out, scattered, and constantly “on.”

This program helps parents experience a fundamentally different December– not perfect, not serene, but less overwhelming, more intentional, more balanced, and much more like the Christmas they actually want to have.
